Study Objective
To assess the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions (including nutrition and physical activity) in preventing or managing childhood obesity and associated comorbidities (such as adiposity and cardiometabolic risks) among children from minority ethnic groups in Western high-income countries.

Short Abstract
This systematic review and meta-analysis involved 53 studies with 26,045 children from minority ethnic groups. The interventions varied in duration, from 8 weeks to 5 years. The meta-analysis showed no significant effect on body mass index (BMI) but highlighted reductions in comorbidities such as metabolic syndrome, insulin sensitivity, and blood pressure in some interventions. Combined nutrition and physical activity approaches were most effective.
