Study Objective
To critically synthesize published nutrition competencies for medicine internationally and provide a framework for integrating nutrition competencies into medical education.

Short Abstract
This integrative review synthesizes existing nutrition competencies for medical education from 11 published articles. Five common themes are identified: clinical practice, health promotion and disease prevention, communication, teamwork, and professional practice. The review recommends vertical integration of nutrition competencies into medical curricula to enhance medical education and emphasizes the importance of skills-based training for clinicians to provide effective nutrition care.
