Study Objective
To identify genetic variants, particularly SNPs, that affect iron metabolism in healthy adults and their implications for personalized nutrition and supplementation strategies.

Short Abstract
This systematic review focuses on genetic variants associated with iron metabolism, specifically SNPs, and their impact on iron deficiency and anemia. Twenty-one studies were reviewed, revealing that several SNPs in the TMPRSS6 and HFE genes significantly affect iron parameters such as ferritin, transferrin, and hepcidin levels. The findings suggest that individuals carrying certain genetic variants may benefit from personalized iron supplementation strategies to optimize health outcomes.
